The
Board of Governors of the National Television Academy
– Upper Midwest Chapter is happy to announce the 2003
NTA Scholarship Program for High School Seniors pursuing
college degrees and a television industry career goal.
This
year, the Academy has increased the scholarship program
to five $2,000 awards for applicants from throughout
the Upper Midwest area, including Minnesota, North
and South Dakota, Western Wisconsin and Northern Iowa.
Eligibility:
1. Full time student applied to, or accepted at, a
four-year college or university offering a broadcasting,
television, or electronic media curriculum. The award
is contingent on acceptance for admission.
2. Intent to pursue a major in that curriculum.
3. A minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and demonstrated
leadership qualities.
4. The expectation of pursing a career in broadcasting
or electronic media.

and Scholarship criteria are available on the Chapter

The
deadline for applications is March 15, 2003. Applicants
may be invited for an interview at the Scholarship
Committee’s discretion. The awards will be announced
in April with presentations at the recipient’s High
School in May and/or June.
