REGIONAL EMMY AWARDS NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

Emmy Awards Chair Shari Lamke released the list of Emmy Awards Nominees on Friday, September 12. 187 individuals have been nominated for this prestigious award, representing almost every market in the chapter. Nominees are posted on the website.

SILVER CIRCLE HONOREES ANNOUNCED

The Board of Governors are pleased to present the five honorees who will be inducted into The Silver Circle:

  • Harold Crump, Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc.
  • Dave Dedrick, KELO
  • Joe L. Floyd*, Midcontinent Media
  • Al Gustin, KFYR
  • Mel Jass*, KARE
    (*deceased)

These extraordinary individuals are being honored for their distinguished careers spanning at least 25 years. They have made significant contributions to both our industry and to our community and are truly deserving of this honor.

The Silver Circle inductees will be honored at the Emmy Awards Gala on October 25, 2003.


SILVER CIRCLE AND EMMY AWARDS GALA: OCTOBER 25

The Silver Circle and Emmy Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at The Metropolitan, in Minneapolis. Dig out your fancy duds - the Black Tie Optional event is a chance to catch up with friends from all over the region and to celebrate the excellence of broadcasting produced in our Chapter. Joining us this year will be Dennis Swanson, Chairman of the National Board of Trustees. We will also recognize our 2003 Scholarship recipients.

Invitations will be mailed shortly.
